Strengthening Peace and Security Across Our Local Government Areas This week, our collective efforts toward peace and security took another significant step forward. 


 BURUTU: On Tuesday, 14th October 2025, I attended the Zonal Security Meeting in Burutu, hosted by the Chairman of Burutu Local Government Area. The gathering brought together council chairmen from Warri North, Patani, and Isoko South, alongside Divisional Police Officers, representatives of other security agencies, and key stakeholders. Our discussions centered on pressing security matters, including inter-community relations, challenges linked to oil and gas operations, and the need for stronger inter-council collaboration. Together, we reaffirmed our commitment to proactive security management, intelligence sharing, and consistent community engagement — essential steps in ensuring peace and protecting lives and property across our local government areas. 


OGBE-IJOH : 

 The following day, Wednesday, 15th October 2025, I hosted the second Ogbe-Ijoh/Aladja Peace Resolution Meeting at the Warri South West Council Secretariat, Ogbe-Ijoh. The meeting, convened at the directive of His Excellency, the Governor of Delta State, further demonstrates the state government’s firm commitment to ending the long-standing crisis between both communities. We engaged in open and constructive dialogue, reaffirmed previous resolutions, and reached new agreements aimed at strengthening mutual understanding and promoting lasting unity. The session concluded with plans to reconvene at the Udu Council Secretariat, where a think-tank committee will be established to oversee boundary demarcation and deepen peace efforts. 


 EkPAN: 


 Today, Friday, 17th October 2025, I attended the Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited Community Critical Stakeholders’ Appreciation Ceremony. The event brought together security stakeholders, community representatives, and local leaders to recognize collective contributions toward safeguarding critical oil and gas assets and maintaining peace in host communities. It was a moment to reaffirm our shared responsibility in fostering cooperation, vigilance, and development across the Niger Delta region. As Chairman of Warri South West Local Government Area, I remain resolute in fostering sustainable peace and ensuring our communities continue to grow in harmony. Working closely with my fellow chairmen, security agencies, and community stakeholders, we will keep prioritizing early intervention, dialogue, and collaboration as the pillars of progress and stability.

ISOKO SOUTH CONSTITUENTS, CALLS HON FERGUSON ONWO OUT.

In what looks like a social media war between the aide of Hon Ferguson Onwo member representing Isoko South constituency II in the Delta state house of assembly, and members of his state constituency. The honorable member was challenged by one Barrister Tony Ejumejowo to present his score card for the past six years. Mr Tony argues that Hon Fergusons representation is abysmally poor. Although his aide one Mr Pedro tried frantically to present what seems to be a cooked up list of projects, describing Mr Tony Ejumejowo as armchair critic.  Immediately, Mr Pedro recieved backlash from many other constituents from different communities who countered the claims presented by Mr Pedro.
